Early Childhood Manpower Plan
Minister Tan Chuan-Jin launched the Early Childhood Manpower Plan at the Early Childhood Conference 2016. The Early Childhood Manpower Plan is a collaborative effort by ECDA, WDA and key sector partners represented on the Early Childhood Sectoral Tripartite Committee.
MORE OPPORTUNITIES TO DEVELOP PROFESSIONALLY
Look forward to more opportunities for professional development such as the Skills Framework for ECCE, more flexible training pathways and the enhanced Place-and-Train option for all EC courses.
MORE SUPPORTIVE WORKING ENVIRONMENT
Smart solutions will be introduced to aid early childhood educators in day-to-day processes. ECDA's "Workplace to Worthplace" initiative will also work towards encouraging centre best practices and uplift sector working conditions.
GREATER RESPECT AND RECOGNITION
From 2017 onwards, individual operators will be encouraged to celebrate Teachers' Day by giving all EC educators the day off! ECDA will also work on our public education and outreach efforts to help the public better understand our early childhood sector!
