ECDA Awards for Excellence in Early Childhood Development 2022

The ECDA Awards for Excellence in Early Childhood Development recognises exemplary early childhood (EC) infant/early years educators, preschool educators, early intervention professionals, leaders, as well as centres that have excelled in teaching and learning and in their innovative practice.
The call for nominations is now open till Thursday, 14 April 2022, 5pm. ECDA is pleased to invite all Early Childhood Development Centres (ECDCs) to submit nominations for the prestigious ECDA Awards. The Award Categories are as follows:
About the ECDA Awards
A. Individual Awards (Outstanding and Promising Categories)
1. Outstanding/Promising Infant/Early Years Educator Award
This Award recognises the achievements of exemplary infant/early years educators who expand the boundaries of professionalism and scale up the quality of their curriculum and pedagogical practices.
These are educators committed to delivering high quality early childhood care and education. They make a positive difference in the lives of infants and toddlers and their families.

2. Outstanding/Promising Preschool Educator Award
This Award recognises the achievements of exemplary preschool educators who expand the boundaries of professionalism and scale up the quality of their curriculum and pedagogical practices.
These are educators committed to delivering high quality early childhood care and education. They make a positive difference in the lives of young children and their families.

3. Outstanding/Promising Early Intervention Professional Award
This Award recognises the achievements of outstanding and promising Early Intervention Educators and Learning Support Educators who excel in designing and implementing early intervention/learning support programmes.
They exemplify quality professional behaviours and practices, and strive for excellence through continuing professional development. These are early intervention professionals committed to delivering high quality early intervention programmes. They make a positive difference in the lives of children with developmental needs and their families.

4. Outstanding/Promising Early Childhood Leader Award
This Award recognises the achievements of exemplary principals of ECDCs. These Principals excel in organisational, curriculum, collaborative leadership and exemplify quality professional behaviours and practices. B. Centre Awards
5. Outstanding Centre for Teaching & Learning Award
This Award recognises ECDCs which have excellent programmes, processes and learning environments that drive outstanding teaching and learning practices. These practices support and facilitate young children's holistic development.

6. Early Childhood Innovation Award – NEW and OPEN TO ALL ECDCs!
This Award recognises ECDCs which have undertaken innovative projects to nurture a culture of innovation that have improved and enhanced existing programmes, curriculum and pedagogical practices, processes, or services.
These centres are committed to delivering high quality early childhood care and education services that benefit young children and their families.
