START SMALL DREAM BIG 2016 FINALE
Some 20,000 children from over 300 pre-schools contributed over 500,000 hours in the past 6 months to plan and participate in 316 community service projects for Start Small Dream Big 2016! Together, the children raised more than $150,000 for charity!
Over 10,000 children, early childhood teachers, parents and community partners were present at the SSDB Finale held at the OCBC Square @Sports Hub on 7 October 2016!
The children's SSDB projects were showcased in an exhibition at the Sports Hub Library. There was also a huge carnival with activity stations by pre-school centres and community partners!

Minister Tan Chuan-Jin officially launched Start Small Dream Big 2016 on 29 April at Bishan-Ang Mo Kio Park! Over 1,500 pre-school children and 300 early childhood teachers attended the launch!

PARTICIPATING CENTRES FOR SSDB 2016
This year, ECDA's "Start Small Dream Big" President's Challenge initiative involves some 20,000 children from over 300 pre-school centres taking part in community projects over a period of six months.
This is double the number of 150 pre-schools which participated in the inaugural run of the initiative last year!

What's Inside the Little Red Box? - St James Church Kindergarten
As part of SSDB, St James Church Kindergarten launched 'Red Box Day' and the 'Little Red Box' to inspire young children to dream for Singapore with the late founding Prime Minister Lee Kuan Yew's wine-coloured briefcase.

Mini Charity Bazaar - Kidz Meadow Childcare (Buangkok Crescent)
The children, teachers and parents came together to organise a mini-charity bazaar themed "We have the Kampung Spirit in us" to raise funds for the Malay Youth Literary Association, 4PM!

The aspiring graduands of Sunflower Preschool @Punggol Field Walk embarked on a project to learn about the vitality of water on Earth and the need to conserve this indispensable natural compound!

As part of their SSDB project, the children from PCF Sparkletots @Cashew Blk 183 CC conducted the Greenwave Project which covers various aspects from caring for the environment to caring for the elderly!

THANKFUL FEET - PAT'S SCHOOLHOUSE (TANGLIN)
More than 400 children from Pat's Schoolhouse preschools, together with their parents, grandparents and teachers, walked for charity at the Singapore Sports Hub! Funds raised were donated to the Children's Cancer Foundation, a President's Challenge beneficiary.

MASK IT UP! - PCF SPARKLETOTS @ MACPHERSON BLK 53, 54
As part of Start Small Dream Big 2016, PCF Sparkletots @ MacPherson Blk 53 & 54 organised the 'Mask it up!' event on 26 March. The K1 and K2 children handed out N95 masks to residents around their neighbourhood to fight the spread of contagious diseases!

PRE-SCHOOLS PITCH IN TO 'MAKE EVERY DROP COUNT'
Some 600 children and families from more than 30 kindergartens and child care centres across the island came together to convey water conservation messages at the Singapore World Water Day Community Carnival.
