Starting Your Journey as an Inclusion Coordinator
Beginning your role as an Inclusion Coordinator (ICO) can be both an exciting and daunting experience. After successfully completing your pre-appointment training, you may be thinking of the children at your centre and are eager to make a meaningful impact
on these young lives. On the other hand, you may feel uncertain about where to begin and how to best approach your centre leader and EC educators to support inclusion.
To kickstart your journey as an ICO, this introductory section will touch on the following:
- 1.1 Who are ICOs?
- 1.2 What will your ICO journey look like?
- 1.3 What is your role as an ICO?
- 2.1 Partnering your centre leader
